Biography

Huilan Jin Li is a passionate pianist and dedicated music educator who began her musical journey at the tender age of six, inspired by her parents, both esteemed music educators. Her early exposure to music laid a strong foundation for her future, her enthusiasm for the piano.

At just 14, she was accepted into the prestigious piano performance program at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she had the privilege of studying under the influential Li Qifang. This formative experience honed her skills and deepened her love for music, setting the stage for her future endeavors.

Following her graduation, Huilan devoted a decade to the Central Ballet of China as an accompanist, where her artistry flourished. In search of new opportunities, she later relocated to Australia, collaborating with the Australian Ballet and the Sydney Modern Dance Company, further enriching her artistic journey.

During her time in Australia, Huilan explored various piano teaching methods, particularly the Suzuki method, which has profoundly impacted countless children. Her dedication to teaching has guided numerous young musicians to achieve remarkable success in international competitions.

Huilan is also a proud mother of two daughters who share her passion for music; one graduated in music education from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, while the other graduated in piano performance from The Juilliard School in New York.
